About Your Jewellery
Sizing Your Jewellery
To ensure your jewellery is the perfect fit, follow these simple guidelines:
-
Necklaces
The length of each necklace is detailed in the item description. Pendants are available on chains of 16" (40cm) or 18" (45cm) but can often be changed for something shorter or longer on request. - Bracelets
All bracelets are measured on a bracelet sizer to ensure the most accurate measurement possible. To determine the size of bracelet you need, wrap a piece of ribbon or string around your wrist so that it fits as you would like your bracelet to fit. The length of the ribbon is the bracelet fit you should look for. - Rings
The size of each ring is detailed in the item description, and is given in both UK and US sizes. Due to the handmade nature of Wildberry rings, all sizings are approximate.
Materials Used
-
Silver
The silver in Wildberry jewellery is usually sterling (92.5% silver), Bali (92.5% silver) or Thai Hill Tribe (99.9% silver), and is therefore nickel free. If any silver-plated beads or findings are used in a design, this will be clearly indicated in the item description. -
Gemstones
I only use natural gemstones in my designs, although some of these may have been treated to enhance their natural appearance. I never use synthetic or imitation stones. Further information on the stones used is available on request. -
Glass
I only ever use the finest quality glass beads in my designs, including artisan lampwork beads. -
Pearls
The pearls used in Wildberry jewellery are mainly freshwater pearls, which are formed naturally in mussels living in rivers or lakes. I use pearls in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours.
Jewellery Care
-
Store your jewellery carefully, preferably in its original packaging, to avoid damage. Silver should be stored in a cool, dry place that is preferably airtight, to avoid tarnishing.
-
Do not wear your jewellery in the shower, whilst swimming, exercising or sleeping.
-
Try to avoid spraying perfume, deodorants or hair products directly onto your jewellery and avoid exposure to harsh chemicals.
-
To clean your jewellery, wash it very gently in warm water.
-
Any tarnish on the silver in your jewellery can be removed using a silver polishing cloth. Only use a silver polishing cloth on the silver components of your jewellery in order to avoid damage to gemstones, pearls and other softer jewellery materials.
